18 Years ago in 1996 Pakistan’s batsman Shahid Afridi sets a world record for fastest ODI century in just 37 balls against Sri Lanka in Nairobi. In those past 18 years people were thinking that the record is unbreakable but 2014 starts with a bang for cricket fans. Corey Anderson set a new world record of fastest century in just 36 balls!
The 3rd ODI between West Indies & New Zealand at at Queenstown was delayed due to rain. After couple of minutes when i started again, umpire sets the match of 21 overs. West Indies won the toss and elected to field first. New Zealand didn’t get good start in the beginning they lost 3 wickets early at just 84 runs in 8 overs. Now it was the turn of Corey Anderson and the whole world stunned by his performance. Corey Anderson smashed all West Indian bowlers very hard by hitting 14 big sixes and 6 fours in inning. The whole stadium gave him standing obviation when he sets the new world record for fastest ODI century in just 36 balls and broke Shahid Afridi’s 18 years old world record of 37 balls.
