On 24th September-2014 India achieved one of the biggest milestone in Indian space research by achieving success in Mission Mars. Yes, on that day Mangalyaan entered into orbit of Mars and then, India became the first country to complete Mission Mars on its first attempt. The glory was more tasty because India’s Mars Mission was cheaper then Hollywood’s movie “Gravity”. The total cost of mission Mars was just 454 Crores. The whole world was the witnessed of this success and congratulated India for this achievement. The success in space science can definitely help India to achieve difficult milestone in the future.

As stated, Indian people are highly receptive and understanding, in spite of being sentimental, orthodox and traditional. This receptiveness can do wonders, as they are open for discussion, debate and education. Social Scientists need to prevail on the political community to change their thinking in the first place. When the political system is cleaned or made responsible then everything becomes easy. Corruption and evils in administrative set up can be over hauled for accountability and more responsible behavior. Common man if guided by two forces i.e. politics and administration can easily mend himself to become responsible toward systems and quality of living in India will find new meaning.
There is a dire need for clear direction, responsible guidance and dynamic leadership. When this becomes possible, Indians by virtue of their innate qualities of humane thinking, cautious spending and unequivocal respect for systems, and adorned with exceptional creative thinking and innovative ideas can very easily rise to greater heights in education, leadership and politics. Perfect leadership and clean governance can make India a super power in the world economy in near future and all other developed and developing nations will have to fall back upon India’s development socially, economically and politically. India has come of age, in spite of external aggressions and internal diversities, and could sustain its identity as a unique cultural heritage. Once Indians start realizing ground realities in religion, caste and language and think sublimely that their common philosophy of living should be ‘live and let live’, start feeling the bliss of unity across diverse religions, castes and beliefs, then no power on earth can stop her from becoming the world leader.
It is time to create an atmosphere where every person in India, irrespective caste, religion and social status gets the opportunity to raise his/her socio-financial status. Economic strength of any society becomes strong only when there is hope for development and improvement in living conditions. The only way to achieve this goal is to have value based and corruption free clean politics and bureaucracy. Politicians and Administrators need to feel that they are not doing any service to people where they come from, instead they should feel that they are doing a duty. People should enter into politics with an ambition to fulfill the aspirations of their voters, but not with ‘making hay when the Sun shines’ attitude and motto. Similarly, Administrators should feel that they got educated in educational systems created by the exchequer and they draw huge salaries from the tax payers’ moneys, and hence they have a duty to uphold the systems for better functioning for the ultimate good and benefit of people for whom they hold a position in the administrative system.
In all these 68 years of independent India, the Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modiji, himself without any inhibitions openly called for ‘Swachch Bharat’ (Clean India) in his address to the nation on the 2014 Independence Day. This statement needs to be taken in its real perspective by every elected Representative and Bureaucrat in India. What does it really indicate? It clearly means that all those people who can wield power in political and administrative wings of Indian systems have not bothered all these 68 years about the simple yet complex aspect of cleanliness and hygiene in their respective areas of jurisdiction. Yes, wherever we go across the width and breadth of India, what appear before us are heaps of garbage, unclean surroundings and pools of mire. When health and human living are not properly managed, and when there is ugliness before our eyes, how can we boast of any achievement? We need to start from the scratch i.e. we have to start from self and from our house.
If cleanliness and hygiene in living conditions is achieved in India, most of the development is sort of achieved. Cutting across party lines, every one of us need to think twice when it comes to doing something good to the society and the nation at large. We need to think beyond self and contribute our mite in every manner that we are capable of to help people around us. There is absolutely no need for sacrifices. If we all can do our best in doing our duty to our fellow human beings in every way possible surroundings, societies, villages and towns and cities develop and we all can lead a happy and peaceful life. When majority of people become resourceful in their way of expertise and capability they become economically strong and when that is made possible quality of living improves.
Yes, political thinking and administrative behavior seemingly appears to have undergone a dramatic change and hopefully this situation in all honesty will continue and then India will become a super power in near future.
“If I were asked under what sky the human mind has most fully developed some of its choicest gifts, has most deeply pondered on the greatest problems of life, and has found solutions, I should point to India.” – Max Mueller (German Scholar)
