Amazon India launched it’s much awaited service Prime Video in India on 14th December. Amazon Prime Video is considered as new threat to existing market giants Netflix, Hotstar and Spuul. Amazon prime videos service is available for Amazon prime subscribers.
Amazon Prime Videos allows you to stream TV series and movies (Bollywood and International) including the Amazon original series. According to Amazon existing prime subscribers don’t need to pay anything above 499/- as they have already paid for annual subscription.
Amazon India earlier announced the content partnership with Bollywood blockbusters, Hollywood movies, US TV shows and Jeremy Clarkson’s The Grand Tour and Kids programming for Prime Video. Amazon also did partnership with Japan’s TV Ashahi Corporation to view popular TV shows such as Doraemon, Shinchan and Ninja Hattori.
Apart from this Amazon also tie up with some famous Bollywood production house Dharma Productions, T-Series, Vishesh Films and some more to deliver their existing and upcoming movies. To more surprise Amazon Originals, Amazon prime videos also tie up with film maker SS Rajamouli, Graphic India and Arka Mediaworks to extend the Baahubali film into a new multi episode animated series – “Baahubali – The Lost Legends”.
Let’s talk about some competition now. Earlier this year Netflix was launched in India with their lowest plan Rs. 500 per month. Hotstar also launched their premier services at just 199 per month and now Amazon Prime Video making entry with the bang providing streaming service at just Rs 499 per year. It means you can stream as many as videos at just Rs. 42 per month. Amazon Prime Video also allows you to use free trial service for 30 days.
Users can download Amazon Prime Video app from Android Playstore and Appstore. You can access all the content with your Amazon Prime subscription. On Amazon Prime you can also watch recently released movie such as Kabali, Sultan, Fan & Kapoor and Sons.
